Managing profiles
Proxy groups, choosing servers, latency tests, the Mode menu, custom rules and the full configuration.
Proxies
The Proxies page lists the groups of your profile. Click a group to expand it.
| Group type | Who chooses the server |
|---|---|
| Selector (select) | You, by clicking the server. |
| URL test (url-test, Auto (latency)) | The core, by lowest delay. |
| Fallback | The core, the first working server in the list. |
| Load balance (load-balance) | The core, spreading connections. |
| Relay | Traffic goes through the servers in a chain. |
The Mode menu sets how rules apply: Rules, Global (everything through the selected group) or Direct (no server). Android phones and iPhone add Whitelist when the provider enables it; see Operating modes.
The lightning button tests every server, and each group has Test. It works only while connected. Below 300 ms is normal, below 800 ms a warning, above that bad; × means no answer. The test address is chosen in Network settings.
Custom rules
Settings → Custom rules. They are stored apart from the subscription and kept when it refreshes. They are checked before the provider’s rules, top to bottom, apply only in Rules mode and take effect at the next connection. Add rule asks for the type, the value and where to route (a profile group, DIRECT or REJECT).
| Kind | Types |
|---|---|
| Domain | DOMAIN, DOMAIN-SUFFIX (default), DOMAIN-KEYWORD, DOMAIN-WILDCARD, DOMAIN-REGEX |
| Address | IP-CIDR, IP-CIDR6, IP-ASN, IP-SUFFIX, SRC-IP-CIDR, SRC-IP-ASN, SRC-IP-SUFFIX |
| Port and protocol | DST-PORT, SRC-PORT, NETWORK, DSCP |
| Other | RULE-SET, PROCESS-NAME, PROCESS-NAME-WILDCARD, PROCESS-NAME-REGEX |
If a rule’s group or rule set later disappears from the profile, the rule is not applied but stays saved. Android also supports rules by app package.
Connections and logs
Connections lists live connections with the server, the matched rule, the proxy chain, speed and the process (Windows, macOS) or app (Android); you can close one or all. App log (Windows, macOS) and Core log show events. Full configuration shows the YAML the core runs; see Advanced settings.
